Bebob spreads his jazz vibe around

If you’re hearing these affirming words, chances are you’re up too late on a Monday night and tuned to WLRN-FM’s Evenin’ Jazz. The show’s host, Bob ”Bebob” Grabowski, has been signing off with this mellifluous mantra throughout his broadcast career, which has included a drive-time show on WDNA-FM and a six-year, red-eye shift on WTMI-FM.
For a little more than a year now, Grabowski has been haunting the near-empty corridors of WLRN’s downtown Miami studios on Monday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., but his influence on the local jazz scene extends far beyond the glow of the radio dial.
